How long will it take?


Therapy can be short or long-term and is entirely dependent on client preference. It is normal to feel apprehensive when considering support. As such the first session is used as an initial consultation, giving you the opportunity to describe your difficulties and reasons for seeking help.

Together with your therapist you can decide if the ‘fit’ between you is good, whether they can help you and how you might work together.

This may be as few as 6 or it might be longer term such as a year. Periodically during sessions we will review your treatment goals together and discuss whether you wish to continue, or if you feel you have met your goals and learnt new skills to deploy in your life.

There is no obligation to continue after this initial meeting. If you would like to proceed, sessions are usually on a weekly basis and last for 50 minutes.
